The Apartment has a rich history in Grand Rapids and has been around for over four decades. Began by Ed Ladner and Milton Lenox, they passed the baton to new owner Bob Johnson. The Apartment has become more than just a bar. Although known for catering to the LGBTQ community, EVERYONE is welcome! Our location, next to the regionally renowned Civic Theater, makes it a favorite for before or after stopping for theater goers. We are also located just a few blocks from the Van Andel Arena.
Through the years the Apartment's fundraising efforts for charities and non-profits have made it a very respected venue in the downtown area. Stop in and say "Hi!" and you'll soon discover why the "APT" is the Place Where Friends Meet.

Family Promise Toy Drive
Join Family Promise and Crown Royal at The Apartment Lounge Nov 22 for our annual toy drive.
We will be accepting cash donations as well as TOYS for Family Promise the entire month of November.
Friday November 22 between 5 & 8p.m. West Michigan Caterer will provide snacks, a representative from family promise will be here to answer any of your questions about the organization, and Crown Royal will be here handing out free samples of their assorted flavors on top of our $4.50 per crown cocktail price feature.
We quite look forward to seeing you all! Lets do our best for the Kids of Grand Rapids this holiday season.
Family Promise of Grand Rapids provides emergency shelter and basic needs to families with children who are homeless. We work with families to help them find a place to call home and then we walk along-side families to ensure they don’t become homeless again! Over 90% of our families find a place to call home! Your donation helps to change the future for the childrenin Kent County. THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping to end homelessness, one family at a time.

WOMXN'S SUMMER STREET FEST
Welcome to GR's First Annual Womxn's Summer Street Fest!
Get ready to celebrate with hundreds of womxn in the street with:
- Outdoor and indoor bars with great drink specials
- A large "Community Tent" with special performances and live art installations
- A stage hosting performance artists, musical guests, local womxn speaking about their experiences of being bad asses
- Local artists and artisans displaying their works on the street (get ready to buy cool stuff and support these local womxn!)
- Various workshops, including yoga, sex-ed (that's right.. for adults), and many more that will be announced over the next 6 weeks
- Food truck(s) to supply food
And best of all, a portion of the proceeds will go to our friends and caretakers at Planned Parenthood.

While this is a FREE EVENT, we do ask that you please RSVP in the ticket link. It will only take 30 seconds, but this will help our small, passionate team to best plan for this event! Greatly appreciated!
